Join the High Desert Strollers Mall Walking Club!

High Desert Strollers meet the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30 a.m. in the Oasis Food Court. Each month members celebrate birthdays with delicious cake and fresh fruit as well as listen to guest speakers provided by the High Desert Medical Group! 

How To Join The High Desert Strollers
There is no fee or requirements. New sign-ups are taken at the Mall Walker table located in the Oasis Food Court. Applications are also available at the Customer Service Center during mall hours.

Why Join the High Desert Strollers?
One of the best ways to stay in good health is right at your feet. Walking is considered the safest and most natural way to improve health and fitness. However, we do recommend that you have your physician's approval before participating in any physical fitness activity. 

Mall walking makes good sense
The mall provides walkers with a safe, level surface and a climate controlled environment. The soft mall music and rushing water fountains allow for a relaxing experience. You can enjoy your morning walk free of vicious dogs, dangerous traffic, bad weather and the desert winds.

When to walk
Mall walkers are welcome to walk the interior of the mall 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. before the stores open for business. The Oasis Food Court entrance doors open at 7:00 a.m. For your safety, we ask that walkers do not walk during business hours or evenings after mall hours.

Walk, Don't Run, Please
For your safety and the safety of fellow walkers, please maintain a controlled walking pace. Watch for wet floors from early morning window washers and be aware of low visibility around corners. The interior perimeter of the Antelope Valley Mall is 4,538 feet - almost 1 full mile. To walk one full mile (5,280 feet), walk the Oasis Food Court two additional times.
