Assistant Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve store and personal sales goals, control expenses, and to protect company assets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in-store needs
Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction
Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company
Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in
Store Manager and Manager In Training's absence
Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices in
Store Manager and Manager In Training's absence
Effectively communicate all store needs to
Store Manager and Manager In Training
Resolve customer issues effectively
Complete bank deposits
QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing sales setting
Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience
Motivated to achieve great results because of one's enthusiasm from interacting with customers and athletic products
Is resourceful and versatile in responding to changing demands and opportunities in a rapidly changing omni-channel retail environment
Initiates completion of tasks or activities without necessary supervision
Strong cognitive and mathematical skills, including problem analysis, decision making and financial analysis
High level of ethics, values, integrity, and trust *Flexible availability – including nights, weekends, and holidays
